Best Kids Friendly Beach Destinations In Europe

Updated: May 22

Last year kind of everybody missed a great vacation because of the Covid19 pandemic. The lucky ones that travelled, could also not really fully enjoy their trip, because of all the restrictions and the cautiousness they had to face, to keep everyone safe. Now that things s seem to be getting a little better than last year, we should make a blast of our summer and enjoy our free time spent with our families. Of course, safety first this year also, but this should apply in every situation (Covid or not), especially when traveling with kids.

We know that planning a holidaying with babies and toddlers can be significantly more challenging than planning an adult trip - you need to consider a lot of extra things to have everything covered, like for example the average temperature and also sea temperature, kid friendly accommodations and attractions to keep your little ones busy, sandy beaches, flight duration and average cost.

Trying to find the perfect balance can become very stressful, so we've rounded up some of the best holiday destinations for toddlers and babies you should consider for 2021 (dependent on the coronavirus pandemic, of course).

Salema, The Algarve, Portugal

Salema is one of the best spots in Portugal for a kid friendly holiday. It has a fine golden sandy beach strip backed by cafes and seafood restaurants, with fossilized dinosaur footprints. It is one of the few fishing towns where you will be able to see the fisherman still bringing up their boats with their catch, which will be a great activity to show your toddlers.

The beach is flanked by cliffs of red sandstone and ancient yellow limestone, where in 2001 fossil hunters discovered dinosaur footprints in the cliff face. We bet this will be of great interest for the little ones.

Puerto de Soller, Majorca
